In the golden September autumn, with the fragrance of osmanthus filling the air, the welcome activities for international students of the Class of 2025 were warmly launched on September 8th and 9th on the first floor of the Student Activity Center. This initiative was meticulously organized by the China-ASEAN School of Economics in close collaboration with various university departments. Students from Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Indonesia, Russia, and other countries traversed mountains and seas to gather at the China-ASEAN School of Economics, embarking on a new chapter of advanced studies in China.

This year, the China-ASEAN School of Economics welcomed 56 new international students. As of this report, 39 students had successfully completed registration, with the overall process proceeding smoothly and efficiently. To assist the new international students in integrating seamlessly into their new environment, the School made careful advance preparations. Full-time counselor Ms. Yu Na led a team of 12 Chinese and international volunteers, providing professional and warm services at the registration site. From identity verification and information entry to providing directions and answering questions, every step was handled with the volunteers' enthusiasm and dedication, making the newly arrived international students feel at home.

Different languages and cultures converged at this moment, as shared dreams and aspirations set sail from this place. Filled with a thirst for knowledge and hopes for the future, the international students officially joined the School of Economics family. On site, Ms. Yu Na attentively inquired about the registration progress, while the volunteers worked together seamlessly with warm smiles, creating the most touching scene of the welcome event.

The welcome efforts extended beyond registration. The China-ASEAN School of Economics will subsequently organize a series of orientation activities tailored to the adaptation and development needs of the international students, continuing to support their academic and daily lives to help them integrate into campus more quickly and effectively.

This welcoming event not only demonstrated the effective advancement of the School of Economics' internationalization efforts but also showcased its student-oriented service philosophy and humanistic care. Moving forward, the School will continue to optimize its training and support mechanisms for international students, enhance the quality of international education, and build a more open, inclusive, and high-quality academic exchange platform for international students, supporting their growth and success here, and guiding them towards broader horizons.
