NANNING — On September 17, the 2025 China–ASEAN Dialogue on Economic and Trade Cooperation was held at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center. The event was co-organized by the China–ASEAN Expo Secretariat, Guangxi University, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) and Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, as well as the China Association for International Economic Cooperation. It was undertaken by China-ASEAN Institute of Financial Cooperation, China-ASEAN School of Economics, China-ASEAN Research Institute, China Frontier Economic Research Institute of GuangxiUniversity. The event was chaired by Li Guozhong, Secretary of the University Party Committee.
Under the theme "Link to the Future with Smart Digital Technology: New Digital Economy Ecosystem and Opportunities in China-ASEAN FTA 3.0", experts and scholars from ASEAN countries and China engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions through keynote speeches and round-table dialogues. Topics included new opportunities for financial cooperation between China and ASEAN under the current situation, industrial collaboration (artificial intelligence) and industrial chain development, as well as the construction and implementation of the China–ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0. The dialogue yielded a series of forward-looking and practical insights and recommendations. During the event, Vision on China-ASEAN Economic and Trade Cooperation 2025-2026 was officially released.

More than 200 participants, including government officials, experts, scholars, business leaders, and entrepreneurs from the economic and trade sectors of China and ASEAN countries, attended the event. They discussed strategies for enhancing China-ASEAN economic and trade cooperation and development, contributing to the advancement of academic research, think-tank platforms, and industry-academia-government information exchanges. The dialogue event also provided intellectual support for the implementation of the China–ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0.
